Nights.

Michael started nights tonight. Wahhh. :( and since I haven't found a job yet, that is going to make it even more difficult on us with scheduling. Thank God we don't have kids yet! So me, I am using this time to catch up on DVR, magazines, couponing, going through the kitchen stuff & getting it ready to put back into the kitchen once its done! YES! Other than that, not much is going on! I will have more time to blog now since he will be working nights & sleeping during the day! Boring!!

for staying away so long! So much has been going on lately! Tonight, Michael is away training at Camp Gruber so I found some down time to update! Here is some stuff that's been happening!
#1- Michael got Promoted!! Yeah! He is now a Lieutenant! I am so excited for him & what God is doing in both of our lives! We have both gained new titles over the last 2 months! The down part of the promotion is now he will be working nights! :( I know, booo.... We have never had to deal with nights before, but I know everything will work out, especially since my career can/will allow me to work nights also! which leads me into.....
#2 - I still have yet to find a job! People want experience! New nurse = no experience. Hello? How are you suppose to get it?? So please keep me in your prayers that something will come up soon! With Christmas coming up, I NEED a job!!
#3 - A lot has been going on around our house! Both bathroom remodels are complete! So is the Living room!!! yeah!! (pics to come soon!) & now my new kitchen is underway! I am so excited to be turning this house into our home! & to finally be able to put things where they will go! We still have wedding gifts we have barely gotten to look at & never got the chance to use! Cant wait to share before & after! We are planning on hosting a small get together with some of our friends after its all finished! I cant wait!!!
#4 - My Mom, Dad, Michael & I threw Natalie & Brad a wedding shower! It was tons of fun & I am so excited to be a part of their special day! 
#5 - Natalie & I threw a baby shower for our friend Kristy & Ms.Kayleigh Sue! (the month for showers is upon us!!) It was a great afternoon with some amazing ladies! & some AMAZING cookie cake (props to Natalie for her tye-die idea) !!! We are so excited to meet Kayleigh! My guess is the 10th! & by the way Kristy has been feeling I think I might be really close!! 
#6 - October is here! Which means CHRISTMAS is SOON!! I love Fall, but I really really like Christmas time. I am not to much into Halloween. Thanksgiving is okay, but I am not a huge fan of the "thanksgiving food". I know, I know...Michael thinks I am crazy too, but all the pumpkin flavored stuff & spice.. I just don't like. Sorry. BUT Christmas!! That is where it's at! I am dying to put up Christmas stuff NOW! I can't wait to decorate OUR new house! 
Well I think thats enough for now! We had a family cook-out at Camp Gruber tonight with the SOT team & all their families, so I'm worn out! I promise to start updating more often - Xo. 

Well....

I am now a REGISTERED NURSE!! License # 103752. I read that out loud 1 time & I haven't forgot it sense! I found out this morning. I tested this past Thursday. It was a GRUELING 48 hours. It has been a long couple of years, but now I can finally say all my hard work & struggle has paid off. I still can't really believe its all over. (Except for finding a job) Thank you to everyone who has prayed, struggled, cried, helped me study, screamed, laughed, prayed some more, and who have stuck by me throughout this whole process! I am so grateful for all of you & definitely could not have done it without you. You know who you are. I also could not have done it without God watching over me daily & making everything fall into place, just as he had always intended.  I owe so much to all of you. Thank you & Love you all.

Some Updates

Hi! I just wanted to share some recent updates - We have got the remodel going!! Can I get a YEAH!!! My Sweet Daddy & Michael hung up the new fan in the Man Room & we recently had the UGLY sliding door replaced with gorgeous french doors!! We are finishing the painting, but don't have pictures of that yet, so that will have to be another post!

Stressing.

Job Hunting. Stinks. How do you make the right decision just jumping into the unknown? What area? What Hospital? Do you drive an hour away? or do you not? Is it worth it? or is it not?? Ugh. Stressing.

House.

We are getting things moving on the house re-dos!! The guys came to measure everything out! The carpet for the dining room & man-room are in! Just waiting for the installers to call. Can't wait to get the man-room organized, so everything else can fall into place & we can finally get some order in this house & not have chaos everywhere! Picked out tile, flooring, cabinets, counter-tops & more! Glad I have some time off to get all this going & be able to study along the way... Can't wait to start showing before & after pics! I just didn't realize it was gonna be so hard to pick out things "everyone" would want, rather than what "we" want, since we are updating to sell over the next few years! Pinterest has been my best friend since the day Ashley invited me! It has given me some awesome "Future Home Ideas" and some great ideas to use in our house now!

Comedian

Unless you really, really know Michael, most would be surprised I married a comedian. He is always doing something silly or changing something to see if I will notice. I just wanted to share a few of the things I have to live with happening around our house on a daily basis. (which is a great thing! I am glad he is always making me smile & laugh) Enjoy! 

*Right before we got married I decided I would go ahead & hang our initials that we had gotten above our bed - well we had a joke that where the letter was hung was whose spot in bed it was (M=Michael, C=Cash (dog), H=Heather). So one night I get home, go in the back bedroom and this is what I found. 

When I confronted him about it, he simply explained that now it was all his spot and Cash & I would be sleeping on the couch. Didn't happen. :)

*Next = Our nursing instructors encouraged us to start writing our names with R.N. behind it (ex: H.Freeman, R.N.) so we would get use to it and start believing we were nurses already. They also told us to put it somewhere (a mirror, car, phone) that we would see everyday. So I wrote it with lipstick on the bathroom mirror. One morning I wake up, go in the bathroom as usual & find this:

In case you have trouble reading it - it says H.Freeman, R.N. on the bottom & M.Crawford, Bullfighter on the top. When confronted, he explained he just wanted to start believing he was a bullfighter.

Dreading.

It is so crazy how times flies. I can't believe we've already been married over two months! It seems like you plan, plan, plan, then its over, gone and you are months down the road! Crazy! Since we are that far along, that means its been even longer that I graduated from Nursing School! Its a long process to get your  state board testing date but......I GOT IT! I'm not gonna say my date (to avoid more anxiety than what is already building) but, I will say I have some weeks to prepare. Which leads me to what I'm dreading. Studying. It seems like that's been my whole life for the 6 years I have been graduated from high school. I never remember studying in high school. I wish nursing school would have been like that, but sadly it was the complete opposite. I've just got to get on the ball and stay on track because its ALMOST OVER!!! I will update you when it is OVER!! Keep me in your prayers!! I need them!

Austin....

was Amazing!! It was great getting to celebrate Natalie & hang out with all the girls! The rooftop bars we went to were great! Wish we had more stuff like that around here! Here are a few pics to give you a feel for how much fun we had!

Austin was great! I totally see a visit again in the future! Great little shops and bars! It was a very memorable weekend to kick off Natalie's future!!

only 24 hours!

Till we leave for AUSTIN!! I am so pumped to be going away for the weekend for one of my best friend's Bachelorette Party! Natalie has always been such an amazing friend & I am so thankful to have her in my life!

We are riding in a 15-passenger van (I don't get along with those very well if you know me) with 4 other girls, so it should be great times going down there! I am so excited for her to see all of the awesome things planned! Tasha worked so hard to make this amazing & I know she is going to love it! Well off to pack & have a last lunch with Michael! I will post pics (Im sure some amazing stories) when I get back! xo.

much needed trip.

After going to church today, Michael & I headed to Tulsa to pick up some stuff from Dillards with a few of our giftcards. We were excited to get away for the afternoon & spend some time together. We got our blender & food processor, along with some sheets, pillows, clothes steamer, and a few other things. We had a great time and Michael treated me to Sushi afterwards! YAH!

Cash had gone to his great-mamacs so we headed home to pick him out (after some cherry-berry) and visited with her awhile. All in all it was a perfect Sunday. Very thankful to have such a wonderful family. xo.

pioneer?

So after experimenting with a Facebook poll, I broke down and ordered the "Pioneer Woman Cookbook". I have already read the whole thing! That lady is hilarious & if you have not read any of her stuff you totally should because she is very entertaining! I am really excited to try some of her recipes & some of the ones people recommended to me! I don't know how great of a cook I am, but Michael eats it anyways. So I will let you know how this goes....

Michael's sister, Michelle, (ok, I guess she's my sister too now!) came over to my parents to swim! She brought along my favorite 2 twin nephews (my only nephews ;) )Caleb & Colby and 1 of my favorite nieces Katelin! We had a blast! I am so blessed to have them! & absolutely LOVE being an Aunt now!! xo.

first things first.

welp. how do you start these things out? I guess first things first. My name is Heather & my friend Ashley talked me into starting this blog thing. I don't know how often I will be able to keep up with it, but I thought it would be nice to keep track of my daily adventures. So. This blog will consist of all kinds of random things.
